I have been working with Matt since the beginning of March. Before that, I had been running regularly for around 18 months. The reason I started training with Matt is because I wanted to beat my 5km, which I did - a lot quicker than expected! Since then I have remained training with him as he is very friendly, informative, and also particularly because I enjoy the group sessions. The weekly sessions are varied yet consistent in helping me improve my running. Thank you Matt!
Matt gave me so much time and was always around to answer any questions I had. He’s a mountain of knowledge & really cares about his clients. I went through some tough obstacles through our training blocks and he was always there for me & made sure that not only as a client but as a person I was ok, as well as making sure I got my runs in. He adapted my weeks for me for what I needed and was there throughout the whole process from start to finish. I’ll absolutely be using Matt again.
I can't recommend Matt's services as a running coach enough, I have learnt an enormous amount, and the level of support, guidance & encouragement from him was absolutely superb, you can really tell how much he cares about his clients and I think he was as chuffed as I was about the great results we achieved together. Since signing up with Matt in February I have seen a huge improvement in my running. I have enjoyed following my plan. My plan has given me a focus and motivation. Matt has given encouraging words after every session and we have had weekly chats. I highly recommend Matt and being into my 3rd monthly plan speaks volumes. A coach and a plan is most definitely the way forward to seeing an improvement in your running. Thank you Matt for all of your help, let's get some more PB's together
I won my first month and decided to continue with Matt as I liked the rapport that we had built and the progress that I was seeing. I have seen improvement in my pace / endurance and have hit PB’s with various targets (5, 10 & 15km). Now we are focusing on marathon training. The schedule is always personalised and amended as required based on progress. We meet for a weekly hill session which is great from a motivational perspective. Matt keeps me focused on my goals.
Matt started coaching me back in August 2021, at which point running 5k without stopping was a challenge. Fast forward 2 years, I’ve just completed my first marathon under Matt’s guidance, and got many PBs in between! Having Matt as a coach has kept me focused, accountable, driven and most of all helped me to achieve things I never thought I could! Matt is supportive and knowledgeable. I never thought I’d say that I love running, but Matt has got me to that place and I can’t thank him enough!
12 weeks ago I truly despised the thought of running, never mind actually lacing up my shoes and leaving the house! I was struggling with back pain, weight gain and boredom and after seeing some client success' on Matts page, decided to get involved! Matts been engaging, friendly, supportive but most of all effective! Structured sessions have brought my weight down, back pain down and I'm embracing running! Although, the running shoe addiction is not cheap! I can't recommend Matt enough!
Since training with Matt I've become more mentally resilient. I'm much fitter and have achieved my furthest run to date but what's more important, I felt great whilst doing it. Matt tailors my weekly plans to help keep me focused and challenged. The accountability of checking in with Matt post run keeps me motivated and also honest with myself. Running is a continuous battle and Matt provides the knowledge and support to help you achieve your goals as and when you change the target.
Through recommendations I started my running journey with Matt. And it was the best thing I ever did. Thanks to Matt all my runs are structured and varied. His knowledge and experience helped to build my fitness levels and after 8 weeks of training I was not only able to run distances I would never have dreamt of but I have achieved my personal best in them. Working with Matt taught me that consistency is so important in order to achieve my goals and I couldn't be more grateful for his help!
